Wolff Custom Homes, Boerne and The Texas Hill Country

Step 1:

Please, Allow Us
To Introduce Ourselves

Our professional custom home builder, Kirk Wolff, will meet with you to understand your individual tastes and expectations for your brand-new custom home. For this initial meeting we will discuss what you are looking for and how you want your house to flow. We will go over house placement on the property and of course, budget.

Step 2:

It’s All About You,
Seriously!

The next step will be to bring in an architect and cover all of your wants and wishes for your new dream home. If you don’t have plans already, we will introduce you to architects with whom we have relationships that can help you create plans to include all your wants and wishes. From here, we will reconfirm budget details and approve plans in order to move forward. Once plans are approved, they are sent to our vendors for bids. Once all bids are in and the final budget is complete, Kirk will go over it with you and if it exceeds the original budget, options will be discussed.

Step 3:

We’re Breaking Ground Here!

While the details are being finalized, you get to start working on your selections and filling out a selection sheet with outside and inside finishes you want to be included with the home. Once we have everything set, construction will begin with land clearing and slab placement. This is a crucial step, and Kirk will work with you to place the slab at the most advantageous location on the property.

Step 4:

Making Sure
Everything Works

Framing, framing, framing! As one of the most exciting parts of the process, Wolff Custom Homes will proceed with the framing of the house, as well as the dry-in. Once this is completed, all mechanicals, electrical and plumbing is installed and done. When we reach this point, Kirk will navigate you throughout the structure to make sure all electrical, low voltage and plumbing systems are located to your wishes.

To ensure everything has been properly installed, Wolff Custom Homes brings in a third-party inspector to thoroughly inspect the framing, electrical and mechanicals (to which we will share with you).

Step 5:

Raisin’ the Roof,
Wall-to-Wall Attention
& Floor Work

While the inspection process is moving along, we will continue to work on the roof and exterior walls. This includes putting in the installation and the sheetrock into the house structure and moving forward with painting the walls and ceiling with its first coat. We will also measure for cabinets and begin laying down tile (showers, tubs and floors).

Once the tile and remaining flooring is complete, Wolff Custom Homes will focus on the finishing touches of the house. This includes trim, hanging doors, cabinets and counter tops, just before bringing the painter back for two more coats on the walls, trim and doors.

Step 6:

The Cherry on Top & Final Run-Through

We’ll follow-up with electrical and plumbing to install the trim kits and begin every Texan’s most treasured amenity: air conditioning. A punch list will be made and corrected before the final cleaning, ensuring all details of your perfect home are accounted for.

After the final clean takes place, the third-party inspector will revisit for a final inspection (verifying electrical and mechanical equipment is all in working order, in addition to drainage).

Having walked the house with you several times during the building process, Kirk will provide you with a final walk-through of the home to make sure everything meets your expectations.
